A system allowing for the verification and control of fans during sports events needs to provide dependable and, among others, quick solutions. The utilization of a state-of-the-art technology is of utmost importance for the system to be efficacious, not generate additional costs, and not influence the comfort of checked individuals.
Systems utilized on stadiums are based on the mechanical identity-specific data reading technology - MRZ. The use of Chainway mobile devices has become the basis for swift registration of attendants of mass events and for their verification with the database and with the applicable stadium ban index.
Depending on the specificity of the system, a native photo camera dedicated to barcode reading or a sign decoding software can be used to achieve satisfactory results. In the case of more advanced solutions, aside from taking advantage of a standard barcode reader, an external MRZ reading unit can be used to check IDs of attendants and to communicate with a mobile device via Bluetooth. Thanks to that, the system is both more ergonomic and friendlier for the users.
Thanks to the use of Chainway devices during mass events, it has been possible to utilize just several units to verify the identity of over two thousand attendants within less than 30 minutes, which would be impossible while opting for a standard procedure.
